Note: BBC Radio 4’s Today programme airs between 6 and 9 in the morning, not evening as previously stated.

On Sunday 15th December, several of our Power of 10 reps, ambassadors and Another Way community joined together in Matterdale for a local tree-planting project. A variety of species were planted, including hawthorn, alder, aspen, rowan, crab apple and Scots pine, to create a natural mix and rewild the land. Over the course of the day, a total of 500 trees were put in the ground!

Kaz Graham, a Cumbrian reporter, came to interview the reps about the nature conservation projects that they’ve done as a result of being involved with Power of 10 and having been inspired by Amy’s story. We talked for an hour and a half about the importance of getting young people involved in conservation and climate action; a discussion which will be aired to 6 million listeners on Boxing Day, for BBC Radio 4’s Today programme special. Tune in between 6 and 9am to catch us!
