Let us come to your school or youth group with one of our fully funded workshops! Through a series of fun, interactive and thought-provoking activities, we explore contemporary environmental topics – from challenging climate misinformation to developing skills for dream green careers. We don’t just share knowledge, we also show young people how important their voice is for the planet’s future, while developing their skills and confidence. Our workshops fit into the DfE’s goal to embed climate action into the curriculum, and inspire young people to become the next generation of environmental changemakers.
Our workshops are adapted to suit your school or group, based on the latest environmental science, and run by experienced facilitators.
Elli is our resident earth science expert. She has a degree in Archaeology and 15 years of experience teaching Geography at secondary school. On top of this, she’s lead numerous school tours to her favourite place on Earth, Iceland, scaling glaciers to show students geography and climate change in action. She blends her scientific knowledge with her passion for interactive and often surprising education (soil sniff test, anyone?) – and has developed a series of workshops which are as fun as they are informative. When not running workshops, she can be found travelling the UK in her trusty campervan, Minerva, hiking in the Yorkshire Dales or Peak District, or with her nose in a good book.
It may surprise you to learn that Gemma’s PhD is in dance – but this fact makes her a fantastic communicator, and an expert in getting students involved and engaged in active learning. Since moving from performing arts to environmental education, Dr Gemma has spent several years communicating with the public on ocean conservation, which has made her something of a self-confessed marine nerd. With her creative mind, Dr Gemma stops at nothing to get students excited about protecting the planet – including dressing up as an inflatable Mother Earth at one of our school climate festivals.
Amy is our Founder and CEO, and the person who dreamt up the very first Another Way workshop! Since 2016, she’s been working on the ground with young people, inspiring them with her infectious enthusiasm for the planet – in fact, many have told us that a talk from Amy kickstarted their involvement in the environmental movement. Amy is a marine biologist by training (favourite animal: sea slug, specifically Polycera quadrilineata) and has countless stories of adventure in the natural world. She is an expert in facilitating in-depth conversations on all sorts of topics, from debunking climate myths to eco anxiety – but always with a feeling of joy and hope.
We know that as a teacher it can sometimes feel overwhelming to get your pupils fired up to take action – we are here to help you do just that!

Our workshops are backed by leading climate and education scientists, and are just the right blend of inspiration, information and interaction. Students who have taken part in our workshops have gone on to start their own initiatives, fundraising events and volunteering positions.
Everyone has a part to play in climate action, so it’s important to us that our workshops are accessible to everyone. We’re adapting our workshops for SEND schools, and working with our Youth Advisory Group to ensure that our activities reflect the needs of all young people. Workshops are fully funded for state schools and most youth groups, and are designed for KS3-KS5.
