Recruiting: Translating Science writing volunteer

Another Way is growing our volunteer team! We are seeking a writer who is passionate about science communication to write articles for our Translating Science project; a project which aims to “translate” new scientific discoveries to a wider audience. The ideal candidate will have a background in social sciences, the environment, educating the public or journalism, as well as strong writing skills and a genuine interest in climate science and sustainability. We are particularly interested in candidates who are interested in writing about human behaviour, agriculture/farming and the environment, or climate change.

The successful candidate will report to the Translating Science Project Managers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the field of science communications and to contribute your creative skills to climate efforts, all while working with a grassroots, youth-led team!

ABOUT ANOTHER WAY

Founded by 16-year-old Amy Bray in 2019, Another Way is a youth-led environmental education organisation that helps people take planet-positive action. Our work centres around the belief that one individual has the power to catalyse change and that each one of us can change our lives right now, without waiting for anyone else. We educate and inspire people to take action, as well as support young people to become resilient climate leaders. Our mission is to empower people to live with kindness towards our planet, and our vision is a world in which society lives regeneratively and communities and nature thrive together.

All Translating Science articles will be published on our website and some will be selected for our social media platforms and monthly newsletter.
