What happened at London Climate Action Week 2026? Youth Summit and more!

Another Way takes on London Climate Action Week! Lauren (Community Engagement Assistant), Amy (CEO) and Rada (Member of our Youth Advisory Group).

Last week was London Climate Action Week, and it was very hot, and it felt as if Earth was there helping us make the point that climate change has already arrived. While holding climate conferences as UK temperature records are being broken is, of course, scary and almost too ironic to be true, it’s important to remember that we have not crossed a barrier of no return. There is encouragement to be found in knowing that every fraction of a degree we reduce warming by will make a difference. We spent London Climate Action Week speaking, scheming and dreaming up ways to do just that! Follow us to some of the events…

The week began with a culture night by Youth Climate Collaborative, which explored how music, Indigenous wisdom and youth culture should all be injected into our climate action.

Next up was our event with LinkedIn and Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS) UK. Amy spoke about how green skills should be considered core economic skills – after all, they will be central to every job of the future!

Amy speaks on a panel discussing Green Pathways for Youth.
POV: on stage at the Globe

As You Like It famously includes a line about how life “finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.”

Fast-forward 400 years, and The Globe is still a place to talk about nature! Amy was on stage to talk about how she founded Another Way and why she began campaigning for the planet.

London Climate Week ended with the Youth Climate Summit. Youth-owned climate organisations and spaces are so important because no matter what changes occur in business and government, our action continues. This event was particularly exciting – we spoke with people whose work we’ve supported from afar, listened to activists from around the world and of all ages (the youngest being 11), and set plans for campaigns in motion.

A highlight of the week - a panel at the Youth Climate Summit.

When the news from around the world can feel heavy, London Climate Action Week was a great reminder of just how many people care for our planet, and are investing their energy into positive action and solutions.
