Our big daffodils are off to auction and you can bid for them in a little over a week’s time! Four of the ten large daffodils featured in the installation have been designed by a talented group of famous potters including William Plumtre, Mary Chappelhow, Jim Robison as well as Helen Ratcliffe herself. Other designers include prominent individuals with connections to Cumbria and Lowther Castle such as Rory Stewart, James Rebanks, Dan Pearson and Jim Lowther. These pieces along with the winners of the schools competition, Matilda Windross aged 7 and Nia Griffiths aged 11 will be auctioned through an online event 17th -24th June which is being kindly hosted for us by H & H Auction Rooms, one of the oldest established auction houses in Cumbria. The proceeds raised from the auction will go to a number of different charities chosen by the individual glaze designers. For more information on the large daffodils, how to bid and to register your interest go to the auction page on our website or click on this link https://another-way.org.uk/buyadaffodil/auction/.
