We are live!!
Earlier this month, we pressed go on the new Power of 10 site, after months of hard work to respond to feedback from our very first users. With a fresh and fun new look, the new site incorporates more content, videos, our new Power of 10 GIF and easier navigation. This means that the platform is now open to everyone under 18 from all across the UK.
Here are just some of the features that are available to support and activate young changemakers:
- Changemaker Toolkit: with over 50 resources on taking climate and nature action at all levels, from Home Challenges to Letter Templates, Good News Stories, Factfiles and an eco-anxiety toolkit.
- Events and opportunities: a new page with entries for partners around the UK to input new events, workshops, volunteering opportunities and more into our events calendar, creating a central knowledge hub for young people wanting to get more involved with the climate movement.
- Community Space: young people can share ideas, challenges, advice, good news and more in our safe and moderated forums, helping them to feel supported, valued and part of a bigger movement.
- Digital Awareness Pack: teachers and students can now download complete lesson plans designed by the Another Way team with inspiring videos, cool graphics and great science and stories. We want teachers around the country to be able to teach climate, ecology and conservation to their students in a way that motivates and creates active hope, as well as signposting to Power of 10.
We are training up volunteers around the UK to go into their local schools and youth groups to deliver Power of 10 workshops and help students join our community. We are also working with lots of partners already working with schools and young people to get the word out there. Our aim? To get 10 00 young people using the app by 2026.
What does this mean? We need your help to signpost the young people and teachers in your life to Power of 10. They can sign up at www.powerof10.earth to start changing their corner of the world.
