pop-up climate escape room

Can you escape the climate crisis?

The climate crisis might feel like an inescapable situation, but the good news is, each fraction of a degree of warming makes a difference – and we can all find our own unique role in taking climate action.

As students puzzle their way through our pop-up escape room, they’ll be empowered with knowledge and solutions to help create a healthier, fairer planet. In Our Oceans, they’ll try their hand at being ocean scientists and conservationists as they help rescue our model turtle from plastic pollution and investigate plastic pollution on the beach.  In Our Warming Planet they’ll get to experiment with eco building materials, and find out why insulating our homes matters so much. In Food for Thought, they’ll meet some of our agricultural heroes – earth worms! – and get up close to healthy and unhealthy soil, before learning what change they can make to eat their way to a healthy Earth. Next, they’ll explore our wall of green careers and see which might match their skills and interests… before getting the chance to put what they’ve learned into action and escape with a pledge for the planet, ready to make a difference!

Our Escape Room is a big hit every year at Birmingham’s Big Bang Science Fair – but we can bring it to indoor events or sheltered outdoor spaces.

What did escapees pledge for the planet?

Everyone has a part to play in climate action, so it’s important to us that our festivals are accessible to everyone. Our venues are accessible for disabled students, and we are working with our Youth Advisory Group to ensure that the activities reflect the needs of all young people. Festivals are fully funded state schools, and are designed for KS3-KS5.

Complete our contact form below to ask a question, and we’ll be in touch!
