Here’s the vision: you walk to Falmouth’s new Another Weigh store and refill your containers of pasta, coffee and laundry detergent – before heading home with a spring in your step, knowing that you’ve saved money and prevented another piece of plastic from making its way into our green spaces and oceans. Perhaps you stay to enjoy a coffee in the co-working space… and in the evening, return to enjoy an inspiring talk from a local scientist, take in the screening of an outdoor film, or try a sustainable craft night.
We need your help to make our zero-waste shop a reality!
To open our doors, we need to raise £40,000 in 4 weeks to secure the premises. We know it’s ambitious but we are confident that with such a fantastic community behind us, we can do it!

What will Another Weigh bring to Falmouth?

UK households throw away 1.7 billion pieces of plastic every week, and 2000 rubbish trucks full of plastic end up in our oceans every single day. We are turning the tide in Falmouth, hoping to bring a much-needed zero-waste shop and climate hub to the local community. Already our Another Weigh shops in Cumbria save 30,000 pieces of plastic from entering the environment every year. By providing a place to re-use and refill your containers, we can help keep this special coastline free from pollution.
ACCESSIBLE SUSTAINABLE LIVING
A big part of our mission is making climate action open to everyone. Our shop is accessible and our products are affordable and ethical.
A SPACE FOR THE COMMUNITY
Our shop won’t just be a place to stock up on groceries – we are also creating a thriving community space with a focus on wellbeing, sustainability and connection. We’ll be home to a bustling co-working space, coffee shop, repair cafe and events venue, ready to welcome workshops, talks, and local organisations and clubs.
REINVESTING IN PEOPLE AND PLANET
We are a youth-led environmental education charity dedicated to empowering individuals to live compassionately towards our planet. All profits from the shop will go back into funding our work, helping to inspire and support more people to take action for the planet in their own communities.
