“Dancing with the Daffodils – the crafting of an extraordinary community artwork” – Helen and her team will be giving a presentation at one of the Friends of the Ullswater Way’s monthly Understanding Ullswater Talks. Gordon Lightburn, Chair of FOUW said: “As a volunteer in the kiln room I have been fortunate indeed to experience at first hand this wonderful project. Witnessing a small army of volunteers from around the county coming together to make not only daffodils but new friendships, is this grand artistic enterprise. Helen will share with us a delightful, heart-warming account, melding inspiration, perspiration, camaraderie and joyful, clay-full creativity.”
FOUW was created in April 2016 to promote awareness of the culture and natural heritage around the Ullswater Way. It was granted charitable status in August 2019.
Please contact Tim Clarke at info@ullswaterheritage.org to register for the talk indicating whether you wish to follow it in Watermillock Village Hall or by ZOOM. The talk is free. 50% of donations received will go to FOUW, and 50% will go to Ten Thousand Daffodils.
