This is reminder to schools, colleges and youth groups to submit your entries for the Design a Daffodil Competition as the deadline of Tuesday 28th February is fast approaching! The competition enables young people at both a local and national level to be a part of this amazing charity fundraising project and encourages them to think creatively about nature and the environment. There are three age groups, 5-11; 11-16; 16-21 and their winning designs will be glazed on the giant daffodils, which will be auctioned in late June to raise money for the winner’s charity of choice. H & H Auction Rooms have kindly offered to run this event for us. Jane Petrie (pictured) has been busy contacting schools and youth groups and generally coordinating the design competition. She will be working closely with the judges Andrea Brunsendorf, Head Gardener at Lowther, and Alan McViety, High Sheriff of Cumbria to choose the worthy winners. For more information please go to https://another-way.org.uk/buyadaffodil/competition. We look forward to receiving your entries by 28th Feb. Winners will be notified by 10th March. Good luck everyone!
